State of Texas v. Gini H.

Filed: February 9, 1998, Galveston.

Nature of Case: After this mother withdrew her two teenage daughters from a Galveston County public high school, the district initiated criminal action. Without representation at the hearing, Mrs. H. was found guilty of violating the state's compulsory attendance law. The justice ordered her to return her children to public school. HSLDA intervened on her behalf and the case was dismissed on February 26, 1998.
