Children and Families Initiative Continues

Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal has made children's issues a central plank of his administration. Unfortunately, he seems to be following Hillary Clinton's theme of "it takes a village" when approaching public policy.

This creates both a challenge and an opportunity for homeschoolers. The Children and Families Initiative is drawing attention to the fact that Wyoming leads the nation in suicide and divorce. Most homeschoolers believe that these are spiritual problems that cannot be permanently solved by secular government. As citizens who want the best for Wyoming, homeschoolers can point towards faith-based and community-based answers that go to the heart of the problem.

If homeschoolers are not actively involved in identifying solutions beyond the usual government programs, politicians will spend your tax dollars in an attempt to provide solutions to these tragic problems. Wyoming needs stronger families, churches, and communities more than it needs new government programs.

We will be contacting Wyoming members periodically as the Children and Families Initiative progresses. Please be prepared to call your elected representatives in order to keep Wyoming family friendly.
